Effectively representing a client before the TAL:

expectations, best practices and outlook

The Young Bar of Montreal invites you to join us for the next luncheon conference, on Wednesday, October 29, from 12:30 to 2:00 p.m. online or in person at the offices of our major partner, the CAIJ.

This training session is intended for lawyers with ten years' practice or less who work in the field of residential leasing, whether acting on behalf of the tenant or the landlord. It aims to equip lawyers for more strategic and effective representation, in line with the realities of the Tribunal administratif du logement (TAL).

The course will provide an insight into the inner workings of the TAL, enabling participants to better understand the tribunal's implicit and explicit expectations of lawyers, better anticipate the steps to be taken, and identify the practices to be favored and those to be avoided in hearings and case management.

The course will also offer food for thought on recent, expected and forthcoming changes within the TAL, so that lawyers can adapt their practice to the evolving administrative and judicial framework of this specialized tribunal.
