A complete personal insurance plan with MédicAssurance
Since May 1st, 2006, an advantageous comprehensive group insurance plan is available to YBAM members. This insurance plan offers coverage that is amongst the most competitive.
An agreement was reached between the YBAM and MédicAssurance Inc. to create a comprehensive insurance plan (life insurance, disability insurance, accidental death and dismemberment, supplementary health insurance, drug and dental care insurance), underwritten by La Capitale Insurance and Financial Services.
Did you know that in accordance with the Act respecting the Régie de l'assurance maladie du Québec, all persons with access to a private plan must enroll themselves as well as spouses and children in such plan unless they are insured by an employer or by their spouse’s plan?
No questionnaire or medical exam will be required to enroll in this group insurance.

The public drug insurance plan is a governmental insurance plan which offers basic protection for medications. The Régie de l’assurance maladie du Québec (RAMQ) administers the public drug insurance plan. You pay for this plan when you file your provincial income tax return and it cost $507.50 in 2005 .
