Professional Development
For a lawyer, as for any professional or entrepreneur, it is essential to expand one’s network of contacts and to maintain it. The Professional Development committee of the YBAM aims to promote business development and the network of contacts of its members by organizing networking activities with various associations of young professionals or entrepreneurs.
This committee also oversees various programs designed to support the business development efforts of young lawyers.

Objectives and activities of the committee:
- Develop and maintain relationships with associations of young lawyers in Quebec and Canada by organizing meetings;
- Develop and maintain links with associations of young professionals (accountants, notaries, JCCM, engineers, doctors, surveyors, stock and insurance brokers, actuaries, consultants in industrial relations, etc..) by organizing activities that allow the members of these associations and of the YBAM to liaise;
- Encourage on going professional development of young lawyers by providing business development training.

Speed Networking
The activity of Speed Networking is an ideal opportunity for you to get to know young professionals and entrepreneurs who are just as interested as you in expanding their network of contacts.
During the evening, you will have the opportunity to talk with potential business partners in the course of short timed discussions. Thereafter, there will be a cocktail during which you will have the opportunity to continue some your discussions in a more relaxed environment.
