Ecocommittee
Created in 2007-2008, this joint committee of the YBAM and of the Bar of Montreal has the mission to determinate best practices in environmental protection and to promote these within the Montreal legal community. in order to educate members of the legal community on environmental issues and how professionals can take action to better protect the right the environment.

“Green Attorneys” Logo
The Eco-Committee has created the “Green Attorneys” logo, which all members of the Bar can use to show their support for environmental protection. The Eco-Committee is also working on communication tools and strategies aimed at the legal community, including law firms, concerning issues such as greenhouse gas emissions resulting from the excessive use of paper.

Activities
Finally, the Eco-Committee organized two widely popular events: on October 21st, 2011, the forth edition of the “Droit, Affaires et Développment durable” conference was held, and on Febuary 11, 2011, the Ecocommittee welcomed Jean-François Lisée for it's annual conference held at L'Auberge Saint-Gabriel.
