The mission of the C.A.C. (Comité Activités Culturelles) is to present to the members of the AJBM an array of cultural activities with the goal of developing a network of contacts, growing every member’s sense of belonging within the legal community, and expanding their social and cultural awareness.

The C.A.C. is, most notably, responsible for organizing the ninth (9th) edition of the Prix de l’Orateur de l’AJBM, as well as the fourth (4th) edition of the English Oratory competition of the l’AJBM.

The C.A.C. is also responsible for organizing the Ceremonies of the Opening of the Courts of Montreal, which took place on September 5th to 9th, 2011.

Objectives

The following are a list of activities organized or to be organized by the Committee.

• Organization of the Opening of the Courts Ceremonies ;
• Organization of the Prix Paris-Montréal de la francophonie ;
• Organization of the International English Debate Championship ;
• Organization of the French and English Oratory Competitions ;
• Organization of wine tasting classes ;
• Organization of an evening at the Grands ballets canadiens ;
• Create various cultural activities which will interest a higher number of members ;
• Create closer links with local cultural organizations such as the Conseil des arts de Montréal, Montreal theatres, orchestras etc.;
